Sweet Piggies Wedding

An old friend, Fong Seet, requested for a cake and cupcake tower for her wedding.. We were ex-room mates during our first year in the university. The bride designed the cake and the cupcakes herself and gave specific instructions as to the colours. She wanted a nut based cake so I made her a banana walnut cake. This was the test run cake - it was moist and delicious..

These pictures are work-in-progress the night before the actual day.. Here are the pink blossoms, oranges-peach butterflies and sweet yellow roses as requested.

The set-up for the actual day with a full altar for prayers included.

The beautiful bride..

Oh, I forgot to mention - the bride requested for cupcake wrappers - pink butterflies cupcake wrappers were provided..

Sweet Roses in Pink!

My complimentary cakes to Ms Norfaliza Ismail for the "sorry-last-minute-change of plans" that happened. It was a good thing that Ms Christine was able to pick up the order.

Kadazan Blushing Bride and Cheerful Chinese Groom

Weddding cake! Specific instructions for the Kadazan bride to be wearing the traditional Kadazan outfit and the Chinese Groom to be wearing a smart mandarin collar outfit with golden dragons. The traditional Kadazan costume is black velvet with gold trimmings and silver (dollar) belt). A peacock sits beside the blushing bride. It was a red velvet and cream cheese two tier cake. The daisies are made with fondant as I was told that these are the bride’s favourite flowers.

It was an order which was definitely trying as the mixer broke down and I arrived half an hour later than expected at the wedding reception at Mariott. The hotel staff was waiting at the lobby with a push trolly to receive the cake. Very sorry to the bride, groom and also the head bridesmaid for the worry. Thank you Ms Briony, Mr Lawrence and Ms Bibiana!!

P/S: I didnt manage to take much pictures as everything was done in a rush. Thank you Ms Bibiana for the picture!!

Ruffles n Ribbons - Turquoise n Peachy

This one is nice. Cik Faizah requested for ribbons and ribbon roses. She ask me to think about another design for the set and ruffles came up to my mind after seeing the ruffles on slippers on sale!
