Grrrrrr.. Pirate!

Here's the pirate cake made for the birthday boy, Jereniq! Thank you Ms Salina!

Close ups - the base was a gigantic pirate ship with a treasure map (front) and an active volcano at the back!

Gao Yang's Birthday Cars

This week received a confirmation from Ms JY Chang for a birthday cake. The theme was simply "cars" as her son, Gao Yang, loves cars - any type of cars.

Later the order was changed from a fondant covered cake to nine (9) cupcakes as the family already ordered a cake for the birthday boy. I was given the freedom to decide for the best design and she also requested for a cake topper to go with the cake which will be bought by the family. As the topper was to be placed atop a chocolate cake, I had to figure out also the best design and suitable colour theme for the topper and the cupcakes. Made twelve (12) hershey centred cupcakes and the family loved them!

Thank you for the kind words and for the trust in me.. This is a big encouragement for a come-back baker (me!) doing this as a part time hobby.Glad that the birthday boy loved them all!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAO YANG!

Sweet Piggies Wedding

An old friend, Fong Seet, requested for a cake and cupcake tower for her wedding.. We were ex-room mates during our first year in the university. The bride designed the cake and the cupcakes herself and gave specific instructions as to the colours. She wanted a nut based cake so I made her a banana walnut cake. This was the test run cake - it was moist and delicious..

These pictures are work-in-progress the night before the actual day.. Here are the pink blossoms, oranges-peach butterflies and sweet yellow roses as requested.

The set-up for the actual day with a full altar for prayers included.

The beautiful bride..

Oh, I forgot to mention - the bride requested for cupcake wrappers - pink butterflies cupcake wrappers were provided..

Deka's Birthday - Disney's CARS

There had been a request for two 3D characters from Disney’s CARS from the birthday boy Deka for his cupcakes – Lightning McQueen and Mater. As the cupcakes were small, I had to scale down and simplify the two characters… nonetheless, the birthday boy had been most excited and happy to see them! The rest of the cupcakes are 2D characters..

These are pictures from the birthday boy's celebration in school. The kids seem very excited! The following pictures are courtesy of the customer, Ms Zurshida Murni & family.
