Home Made Traditional Mooncakes for Sale - Baked Fresh with NO Preservatives!

Mid-Autumn (Mooncake/Lantern) Festival is just around the corner. This festival is  a time for the gathering of family members and a time for mooncakes! Deriving their names from the full moon that marks the festival, traditional mooncakes are often rich and decadent. Underneath the supple, golden-brown crusts are smooth fillings of lotus paste and red beans, sometimes hiding a savory duck yolk (or two) in the centre.
 
It is best to have each mooncake cut into six (or even eight) portions to be enjoyed with a cup of hot tea (with no sugar).

Nasi Lemak Cake!

Would you like to have a nasi lemak (fragrant coconut milk rice) cake?
 
Made this as part of my submission for the national-level Cake Challenge 2015 (Foods in Malaysia Category) at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) last July.



With roots in Malay culture and Malay cuisine, its name in Malay literally means "oily or fatty rice", but is taken in this context to mean "rich" or "creamy". The name is derived from the cooking process whereby rice is soaked in coconut cream and then the mixture steamed. The rice is normally cooked with pandan leaves that gives it a distinctive flavour. Traditionally, nasi lemak is served with a hot spicy sauce (sambal), and usually include various garnishes, including fresh cucumber slices, small fried anchovies (ikan bilis), roasted peanuts, and hard-boiled or fried egg.

What ingredients do you use?
The lactogenic ingredients used are:

·         organic rolled oats
·         organic brewer’s yeast
·         organic flaxseed meal
·         organic chia seeds
·         organic cranberries
·         organic brown sugar
 
My cookies are homemade in small batches using wholesome natural ingredients and they also includes omega enriched eggs, butter, flour and of course chocolate chips!
 
 
What is the recommended intake?
For the first 3 days, eat 3-4 pieces daily followed by a tall glass of water after each piece. After 3 days, eat 1-2 pieces daily for maintenance. Eating more than this recommended intake would not pose a problem.
 
 
How long do your cookies last?
The cookies have a shelf life of one month (to be kept in the fridge). They contained no preservatives, so have them fresh! If kept out of the fridge, no longer than 2 weeks, please. 
 
 
Can my husband & other family members consume them too?
Yes, of course! They are a healthy snack, packed with high fibre oats and contain less sugar as compared to store-bought versions.

First Phase: Mad About BUTTER Cakes!


Dear Customers,

I have not been taking orders for close to two years.. Making Jun Jun's birthday cake and joining a national cake deco competition recently reminded me of how much I have missed baking and decorating cakes!
 
I have given the idea of taking orders very seriously. However, due to many constraints (including time, work and home commitments), I have decided to devise a set of rules to help me in starting this all over again (in a small way). This round I have chosen to limit myself to baking only one-size butter cakes as a base. Please understand that these rules are not meant to frustrate but rather facilitate me to fulfil orders. I will be giving these rules a test run of 6-months to a year.

MAD about BUTTER cakes RULES & PRICING
  1. The price, size and type of cake are fixed and non negotiable.
  2. The minimal is guaranteed, but more may be added on a discretionary basis by me, with no additional costing.
  3. I will be given the absolute freedom to design. For fondant cakes, just tell me your (1) theme (2) colour (3) wordings on the cake.
  4. Orders for weekends/Mondays preferable. First contact via whatsapp/text 0123336260.
  5. Orders to be placed 2 weeks in advance and full payment to be cleared 1 week prior to date.
